Having made a suggestion to Stuart, he's kindly thrown it back at me and told me to get on with it! Thanks Stuart. I'm thinking of an IAOMAS Calendar. Too late to do it properly for this year, so looking to next. Here's the plan: 12 or 13 good action shots - each from a different discipline, sent in by members and we'll all vote for the best set. No advertising - the only logo will be IAOMAS. Any pictures must be your own or from your school, with full permission and no royalty expectations, with IAOMAS having full permission to use - submission of pics will mean you agree to this. And before anyone asks - no nude shots please! ;D ;D your pic may have a small caption added. If you have anything you'd like to submit, send it to Stuart at england@iaomas.com and put 'calendar' in the subject line. Stuart will then keep them in a place where we can all view them and eventually vote on best pics. (Stuart - can you let everyone know where to look, and you may need folders for each discipline) The calendar would be for charity - all profits after printing/postage would be to our chosen charity. My suggestion for now is Children in Need as it will be that time of year, but that's only my suggestion. So let's see how strong IAOMAS really is - get your pics in and when the calendar is ready next year make sure you get them sold!! Let's get it on!!!!!!!!!! Billy Thomson

I think its a great idea.
We need to put a time limit on the pictures though, in order to get ready in time.
I will email all members shortly about it as well.
If each month represents a different art/styles.. why not have a few pictures for each month perhaps?

I like the Idea..
How about, for December page, a collage type picture of all the IAOMAS meets type pictures, like the ones from the scrapbook... I am sure there are others out there who have met and got pictures...
?

Ok, I guess there's plenty of time (dare i say!), but if we have closing date for pics to be end of june2005, that will give us some time for the voting - say a month limit on that then i can sort the printing bit. I'll look into printing costs and times over the next few weeks. I'm away for a week next week so if anyone wants replies after friday 12th Nov then they'll need to wait a week or so. Some good ideas here, glad to see interest.

ps, Stuart - what about the folders for viewing the pics? I guess you might start receiving them shortly. I like the idea of a few pics per page/month.

Billy,
This is for a 2006 Calender right?
I think we should actually consider a 2005 one perhaps!
Time frame: 2 weeks for pics to be sent in Next 2 weeks to vote - top 5 go on each page or whatever, with the main vote (for that style) gettng the biggests plot :-)
Folders!!!- I will sort that out, but feel they should all go up at once for voting (wil be a web page or 2) - we can actually do an email vote now we have the sytem, so people can only vote once - yahey!
Send whenever folks.

Though saying that, I think you may have to ask for orders/deposits up front - so maybe a 2006 one is a better idea... ya should of suggested it in June 04 Re: with say a few quid deposit, you`ll be able to ascertain how many to get done, costs etc. Stuart Ps. I think we should set up a poll to see who would get one (not a great way of evaluation, but its a start & I can add it to the email ill send round shortly! Stuart

Excellent idea Billy,
Will have to dig out the camera, book the tanning studio (Dont start all that again!), work on the diet and get something together ;D
Enough IAOMAS members to promote it around our own areas and make it a seller.
Looking forward to the results.
Regards
Karl

Top idea! I can come up with some comedy shots. Like Simeon kicking me and sticking his toe up my nose or something.
