I went to see Exodus: Gods and Kings just recently with my husband. For an Epic movie, with a well known story, I have to say that this movie delivered in many ways. The plague scenes were amazing, and made you squirm in your seat. I loved how Moses was portrayed as a man torn with his mission, and not always wanting to participate. The version of "god" was really creepy in my opinion, as he was portrayed by a young boy. The actor was amazing, and there were points where I felt that perhaps this kid MIGHT be the god of the universe by the power placed in his voice. Awesome acting skills.. I foresee a bright future for him. The movie starts with a huge battle scene.. and I felt that there is so much happening on screen that it is difficult to actually watch.. I still enjoyed it.. but when so much effort, and people is put towards creating such a fight scene.. and there aren't very many "fight" scenes in the movie.. I would have liked to have been able to enjoy it more. Is it just me, or did their movements look blocky, and awkward? www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwEPM10S6YEPerhaps it was meant to be that way.. The Egyptians were fighting what looked like nomads.. and I guess that the manner of fighting would be more hack and slash than accurate and "fancy". I enjoyed the movie, and would recommend it, even in 3D.. but I don't think that I'll go out right away to purchase it for my collection. What did you think of it?
