Since the ban on swords is approaching, I'm looking to buy a Katana while I still can.
I'm be very grateful for advice on this.
I do Kenjitsu Budo Ryu which from what I gather is pretty much Iaido, with more kata.
Should there be any blade contact, I would anticipate that Katana would be swapped for Bokken. I hope so anyway.
I have a low budget.
Can anyone help, please?

You can prob pick one up online some where for as little as £40. Not an expert but I imagine any replica sword you get is as good as another. (Generally speaking anyway). Unless of course you want to go to Japan and pay about £1000+ for a real, seven times sharper then a stanly knife blade which bizzarly, if used as decoration is legal. (If anything other than decoration its probably only function is as a weapon which makes it very very illegal). Some links: www.blades-uk.com/ (expensive but I suspect genuine) swordmart.co.uk/ (very cheap)
