Just bought my son William his very first gi! He's been trying to do the splits for the past couple of weeks and he's already talking about learning martial arts ... at 2 and a half! :-) Colin

The belt?
I saw too much white streaks through it. Maybe I'll wash it before putting it on him! :-)

huh? white streaks on a white belt? I've recently developed white powdery streaks on my belt which is causing me some concern. This is probably a continuation of that joke from the instructor's section. See 'Instructor Tanning'. Colin

look at that floor, ow my god, i'd love that for a training room!!! LOL! You guys are too funny! That is why I have mats at the school - I would never be able to keep them as clean as my wife keeps them at home (that picture is in our kitchen). The key is no pets and no toys on that floor!

I must get a digital camera very soon! I think it is well worth the money to get a video camera that has digital picture capability.

I think it is well worth the money to get a video camera that has digital picture capability. Nah, the picture quality of stills from a digital camcorder pales in comparison to those of a dedicated digital camera (although I'd definitely get one with a movie mode -- which admittedly has lesser quality than a camcorder).

What do you think of the quality of my pictures? They are all done with my camcorder/camera. Probably 1 megapixel, but my camera is about 2 years old. Granted, the dedicated ones will always be better quality, but I found myself using the video and stills at the same time, so I don't have to "get my camera" while video taping. BUT, if you have the money - go for it!
