The IAOMAS is expanding across many different countries and styles or systems around the world, being a non-political association a complaints officer has been appointed to protect its integrity.
The CO (complaints officer) will act as a non-bias mediator between the offended party/s and the offending party/s to form an acceptable conclusion to a dispute.
IAOMAS DOES NOT in any way condone or accept, harassment whether it’s, racial, sexual, religious or gender based.
Because the forum is a posting based conversation/ information area, words can be misinterpreted and offend people with out that being the primary objective of the person/s posting.
If you are offended by a posting please report it immediately so the issue can be resolved.
How to report it?
1). Record the date time and thread the posting is in.
2). Contact via the forum the CO (complaints officer)
3). Outline the location of the offending posting and what part of its content is offending.
What will happen?
1). The CO will located the offending posting and remove it to a secure area while the investigation is happening.
2). The CO will then act as a mediator between the parties.
3). The offended party CAN BE kept anonymous to the offender throughout the process if desired.
Often the findings will show the posting was misinterpreted and the offending party will apologise and amend their posting.
If it is found the offending party intentionally meant to offend, they will be dealt with by the IAOMAS administrators.
What could happen? (Depending on the severity of the complaint)
1). The offender could be reprimanded and a formal written apology requested.
2). The offender could be suspended from posting for a period of time or permanently.
3). The offender’s membership could be suspended or cancelled.
4). The offender could be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Conclusion
The IAOMAS:
· Has a zero tolerance to harassment
· Is determined not to accept or tolerate any form of harassment
· Strongly recommends that if you feel a person is behaving inappropriately then report it immediately to the Complaints Officer
. Contact me by sending a personal message on the notice board or email at complaints@iaomas.com, all complaints will be handled with totally confidentiality.
