I thought I would post this at the General Board, if for no other reason to have IAOMAS members to express their gratitude to Tim for all he has done for IAOMAS in the past, and all of his sacrifices as well.
Tim P.
I thought I would first start off by saying that you are a true long distance friend. From all the times we chatted on line to the periodic phone calls. You shared your thoughts, ideas and family with me from a distance. You never gave up on any of them and your family. I know that your family missed you a lot while jobs were tough to find up there in Canada, but somehow you made it work. I will miss you here at IAOMAS, as will others. I am sure that one day you will be back. So, while you are in the retirement mode, don't sit back and think that life will pass you by. Grab it by the horns and ride it for all it's worth.
God Bless.
Tim W.
You friend in IAOMAS
PS. By the way just because you retired doesn't mean you are not still part of IAOMAS.

It is a sad thing to hear of your retirement. I wish you well as you go onto other activities. Thank you for all of the time, energy, knowledge, and teaching that you have given to all of us.

Over the years Tim has become more than just a founding member of IAOMAS. Like Dave M, Tim P and a few others he is a good friend and I understand the situation and view this retirement as an on hold type of thing.
If its 1, 10 or 20 years, Tims place is always assured in IAOMAS and Im sure none will disgaree.. he has foresight and vision, is a consumate martial artist whether teaching or not.. he will be missed hughly by me.. but he will be back one day I hope.
Bless you brother,
Stuart

A common interest in martial arts may be what initially brings us together but the relationships that have formed through IAOMAS go beyond simply a common interest in MA. We have made loads of friends through IAOMAS, spent time socially with many of them, been to their homes and welcomed them into ours, we are pleased that Tim is one of those friends and like his other friends here, we would like to wish our friend Tim and his family health and happiness along whatever path they walk. Tim, take care brother, we will speak to you soon. Marc, Emma and your friends at JSK

To all who have responded to this thread.
I am very thankful to be part of a Martial Arts organization that cares about its members. I am impressed on how many of you have responded.
Tim P. You will be missed.

Tim is a legend. A progressive martial artists, a martial artist of skill and integrity and one of a dying breed.
Above all this, above IAOMAS, he is my friend and I dont call many that in the true sense of the word!

Obviously news of Tim's retirement have been greatly exaggerated.
Get to work, Tim P!
