[shadow=red,left,300]What Are The Benefits Of Registering?[/shadow]
Non-registered members can only access the `General` Board.
Registered your details to gain access to the other boards, allowing both reading & posting.
You don’t have to be an IAOMAS member to read or post but we hope it entices you to join this great Association (which is free by the way)
Only IAOMAS members can gain access to the `Instructors`, 'Students' & 'Admin` boards.
[shadow=red,left,300]I Can’t Log In ?[/shadow]
If you are new to this board & have problems signing in or logging on after you have joined up, please note the following:
Once you have joined the board you will receive an email giving you a link.
This is the link you need to use to sign in first! You need your password as well.
[shadow=red,left,300]I Didn’t Get The Welcome Email?[/shadow]
For some reason the boards don’t like some email aliases! Try using a real email address & if it still doesn’t work email me direct at england@iaomas.com
[shadow=red,left,300]How Do I Put My Photo Up There?[/shadow]
To get a photo of yourself you need to have one online on a web or FTP site! So the link would read something like www.mysite/billysface.jpg or www.wellcoolmartialarts/photos/billysface.jpg
It helps if the photo is edited to a decent size by a photo-editing program (e.g. Photoshop or similar). Resize your photo via `pixels` & use 75 x 75 (or the nearest combination to keep your face in proportion). Write down the actual sizes & retype them on your profile in the `custom avatar size`
We highly recommend putting your real name & picture on there, as it makes everything a lot more personal & friendly!
Note: The URL you use shouldnt contain any spaces or % symbols
[shadow=red,left,300]The Link To Some Of The Members Web Sites Doesn’t Work?
[/shadow]
Instead of simply putting www.mysite.com, you need to put in the whole URL as in, www.mysite.com
[shadow=red,left,300]What Can I Ask?[/shadow]
Anything you like. All questions, views etc. are welcome & equal. Please reply in a civilized manner to posts you may disagree with! Feel free to post polls, ask questions on any topics etc. Try to ensure they are on the appropriate boards!
You can also edit your posts, either by previewing them or by using the `modify` button at the top of the posts.
[shadow=red,left,300]What Is The IAOMAS Students Board[/shadow]
This board was created to allow students to have discussions away from the prying eyes of instructors.
It can only be accessed if you are a member of the forum students group. Email england@riaomas.com to request that your profile is added to the group & access allowed.
Just let me know your profile name, what IAOMAS school & Country (and area) you are from & I’ll add you to the group.
[shadow=red,left,300]How Do I Get Access to the `Instructors` or `Students` boards?[/shadow]
Simply email me & ask, please include whom you are, your school & what country you are from (for verification purposes). Just let me know what country & IAOMAS School you are from.
[shadow=red,left,300]How Do I Get Rid Of Those Pop-Ips?[/shadow]
To get rid of the pop ups, use the `Donation` link at the bottom of the main page. Alternatively, a `anti-pop-up` program may work.
