You know I see new members coming onto the IAOMAS forum every week, and I don't think we've previously take the time to adequately welcome these open-minded people into our discussion group.
IAOMAS was concieved to be a student support group, but as you can see from the culture on this board, IAOMAS really is about creating a worldwide community that's welcoming to ideas, to friendship, to diversity, and to the recognition that we all share a passion for the martial arts.
As a regular poster, and one who has enjoyed the benefits of the IAOMAS network, I invite all new forum members to: 1. Introduce yourselves, your art, your training philosophy, and where you're from (on this thread if you like), 2. Share with us ideas of how you're going to help grow or help maintain the IAOMAS concept, and 3. Look for a topic you'd like to converse on and share some constructive ideas - positive or negative. Fire away!
As an aside, if you're a martial arts school owner, I hope you've taken the opportunity to join IAOMAS, stick the logo on your website, and highlight the benefits of the alliance to new members. This is really a marketing plus for you. So what are you waiting for?
Once again, welcome on board. We look forward to getting to know you.
Regards,
Colin Regular Poster
ps. Instructors to email Stuart Anslow for acess into instructor's forum. Non-BBs to email him for access into student's forum.
