okay, leave it to me at 2:30 am to not notice the THREE pages and answer the last post on page 1... oops.
I am very interested in your friend's software, Stuart - it seems to have a very in-depth functionality and compatibility with today's multi-media and web-interactive world. I feel that it may suit the needs of a small club in that it is inexpensive, and also for a larger club due to the expansive capability.
If I am offered the final and finished version for a reasonable price, I'll consider strongly buying it for the new school I am opening up with a friend.
(Exciting news, ain't it? A new school - my first, actually, as I always have preferred one-on-one training with no more than 5 students at a time.)

thats the idea David, to make it available for smaller schools without the prices that are around for other stuff.
Ill keep you posted.

Thank you. Despite the arguing over it, the screenshot you posted is a very convincing argument for your mate's software. I checked out quite a bit of the competition (easily, as there isn't a lot) and haven't seen anything near it yet.

Functionality could include the ability to publish items from the db onto the web using XML, I know this can be done direct from MSSQL & Access, but the others . This could be used to populate the members area of your websites to provide most trained students lists - to encourage your students. Also a link to a PDA might be usefull as I run one of those in class and syncronise with my lappy when I get home. Always in the market for a suitable tool. Due to its diverse readership perhaps the IOMAS Forum is in a good place to define a realistic Requirement fro a class master etc, then programmers can incorporate the features that we really need. Im interested. the idea is that everything is integrated. members details and booking in, accounts, reports, attendances, etc etc. kma3 does stock as well, so you can keep items you sell and do it professionally. i used to use a laptop and scan in with a barcode scanner; members could bring their card as ID and the rest was automated. www.kma3.co.uki see mr slater is offering a system also. bet you its a rip off version of mine that i gave him a few years ago!
